Commission a knife of your own

Beyond our standard range, we take on custom commissions — knives built to your specification, forged by hand from the ground up. Whether it’s a specific blade length, a particular steel, a handle material with meaning to you, or a design you’ve had in mind for years, we can make it.

What you can specify

  • Blade — length, profile (drop point, clip point, tanto, skinner and more), grind and finish
  • Steel — the Damascus pattern, or a specific core steel and hardness
  • Handle — stabilised wood, camel bone, stag, resin, micarta, with brass or steel fittings
  • Sheath or storage — leather sheath, wooden presentation box, or a roll
  • Engraving — a name, date, message or logo on the blade, bolster or sheath

How it works

  1. Tell us what you have in mind. Fill in the form below with as much detail as you can — rough sketches and reference photos are welcome.
  2. We’ll quote and confirm. We’ll come back with a price, a lead time, and any questions, usually within [NUMBER] working days.
  3. We forge it. Once you approve the quote and pay a [DEPOSIT %] deposit, work begins. Custom pieces typically take [NUMBER] weeks.
  4. Final approval and delivery. We’ll send photos of the finished knife before it ships. The balance is due before dispatch.

Good to know

  • Custom and commissioned pieces are made specifically for you and cannot be returned or refunded except where faulty.
  • Because each knife is hand-made, slight variation from any reference image is part of the craft.
  • We’ll keep you updated through the build, and you approve the finished piece before it ships.
  • Please check our Shipping Restrictions before commissioning, as some blade types can’t be sent to every country.
